Dollar strikes a show pose in the backyard

As you all know, the personality and intelligence has to be experienced to understand our passion for the breed. I adopted Dollar from a show breeder at 13 weeks-her fault is she is too tall. I have had schnauzers for the past 20 years, and am a former show breeder and retired Veterinary Nurse of over 20 years.

Dollar is the most sensitive schnauzer I have had the opportunity to live with. They have always been my "character judge" when I was dating and were always Right on Target. Dollar is especially that way. Her vocabulary is delightful, and she understands complete sentences. She is 7 years old now, and her best friend is a chihuahua named Rockets Redglare.

I understand what you are saying! My GSP potty trained my schnauzer and everyone says to me....he isn't a mini, is he? Sophie taught him to point birds as a puppy and its so funny to watch him! HD is a therapy dog and he gives so much of himself when at the hospital and nursing home that he sleeps all the way home. They are absolutely a most sensitive breed and I am lucky that he owns me.

Shirlu's Dollars and Scents is absolutely beautiful. I too purchased a black & silver mini from a show breeder. They said when he grew up he would be too big to show. He is exactly show ring size, so there big mistake. His litter sister was the AKC champion in the state of Alabama. He is soooooooooo intelegent and such a lover. I know exactly what you mean about them.
