Pepper Says It's Snack Time
Say hello to our Miniature Schnauzer Pepper (aka Pep or Peppi). She is 14 years young! Whenever I walk her she gets tons of compliments. Everyone thinks she is so beautiful and they are shocked when they learn she is 14. Although she is a senior Pepper is full of life, love and energy. She loves to play with her toys or get chased around the house, enjoys long walks, and jumps around just like a young pup.
Pepper is my fiancés childhood friend. He was 15 years old when his parents finally gave in and bought him and his younger sister, a dog. For years she was showered with love and affection, which I feel has contributed to her longevity.
Even though Pepper is my fiancés dog she has become extremely close to me and I am now her favorite person. When I come home she barks and wags her tail with excitement. Pepper jumps up on the couch and snuggles up next to me or roles on her back so I can rub her belly. She follows me where ever I go in the house trotting so close to my legs that she almost trips me. If she thinks someone is upset with me she barks at them in my defense.
In this picture I took, Pepper was watching me cook in the kitchen. She kept licking her chops, because she loved all the aromas floating in the air. I thought it was so funny and cute that I decided to try to snap a picture of it. It looks like I got the perfect shot!
