Buffy - our unexpected gift!

Buffy is 11 and we have only had her for three years. Prior to that I had a mongrel for 21 years who I felt was irreplaceable. My previous dog grew up with my children and actually thought she was one of the children and we were devastated when she passed away.

Buffy appeared in our lives totally unexpectedly via my daughter who was looking for a dog for her and her two children, got buffy from a breeder when she had outlived her usefulness (buffy, not the breeder)! Anyway, it was a bit of a reckless decision and she decided university, two small children and a schnauzer was a mistake and buffy arrived at mine and my partner's doorstep. is such a lovely addition to our lives - we both absolutely adore her. She has a fantastic, quirky personality, is exceptionally bright and sometimes very strong-willed. Her only fault is that she barks at visitors and has to leave the room to calm down and she doesn't much like other dogs, but her loyalty to us is just lovely. She absolutely adores my partner and sits high on his chest nudging his nose for attention. She jumps and frolicks around when we arrive home, but really always prefers to be out and about with us as doesn't really like being in her own - this is okay as my partner works nights and me days.

In a nutshell Buffy is a delight and has brought joy to our lives.
