My Sweet Girl Dolly

Miniature Schnauzer Dolly

Miniature Schnauzer Dolly

Just as my husband and I were planning to retire we decided to get a dog. I searched the Adoption Agencies until Dolly, a silver mini schnauzer, found me. At the age of two, she had been left alone in the world. We bonded immediately and had twelve wonderful years of adventure.

Traveling across the country to many different states, Dolly amazed us all the way, smelling the scents of the world. She entertained us with energetic antics and loving moments from dawn till bedtime. What a wonderful life we shared living in the country until August 2011 when, within a few months, she went deaf then blind. The adventure turned into sleep in June of 2012. She waits for us now at Rainbow Bridge, again in good health and ready for our eternal adventure with our Father. God bless my Dolly Girl!

Lovey Dollly

I can totally understand how you feel. We lost our boy Chippy on July 23rd 2011 at the age of 17 years. But God intervened and we found Chewy. He has been such a help with healing my broken heart when Chip made his trip to the Rainbow Bridge. He will never replace Chip, but he has a very special place in my heart.

The Blue in My Sky

When my husband died in 1998, it was the first time I had to live alone. It was difficult but was also a new adventure. My daughter called me one day in 1999 and said that she had bought my birthday present. You're right--she bought me a Mini Schnauzer. That was a new adventure too, and not one that I was sure I wanted. After a couple of weeks, Ditto had captured my heart. He was about 2 months old when I got him and about the only thing that I wouldn't let him do was sleep in my bed. Other than that, he has ruled the roost. He was diagnosed with diabetes 5 years ago and went blind from the diabetes. My son and I took him to Cornell and had surgery done. He can see now! He was 13 last March and has been the most wonderful birthday present I ever got. I can not imagine life without him.

We are also new to 2 schnauzer's who rescued us after we lost out beloved Yorkie after 12 wonderful years with our boy Divot. As a Catholic with WAY too many "Catholicisms" allow me to share one of favs with you in the hopes that it. Brings you some comfort:
When our beloved pets go to heaven they have very important work to do as it is their sacred responsibility to play with and protect all of the yet unborn souls until they are sent down to earth to be placed in our care.

Sorry

So sorry... it is such a gaping hole when they leave, even when you know you'll eventually see them again. Hang tough, I too know she has good company.

I also lost my schnauzer this year...Aug 10, 2012. After 15 wonderful years of unconditional love he as well left for Rainbow Bridge where I'm sure he is chasing squirrels and running about with Dolly and others. He is sooooo missed and I can't wait to see him again one day!!!!

Sorry
by: Carrol Stearns

I'm so sorry for your loss. We too had gotten a fur baby in 1999. Lexi was a Bichon and so full of energy. She was our little baby girl and went everywhere with us. In Nov. 2009 we found out she had bladder cancer after one vet kept telling is it was a bladder infection. In May of 2010 our precious princess went to the Bridge. We were devastated. 9 months later a friend asked if I wanted another dog. Once I saw his picture I was in love. We now have a 6 yr old miniature Schnauzer named Skeebo. He helped us heal although we will never forget Lexi.
