Gigi came to us in a time of lonely house syndrome, when our only beloved son moved out of state. When we first got Gigi she was scrawny little did we know she was sick. We paid for surgery and made her better, but never 100%. She lived on perscription dog food and a liver pill daily. But to us she was that and more. She ruled our house. We went through pancreatitis with her. Then they thought she had cancer of the mouth. That was all clear.
We enjoyed her happy loving self for 9 1/2 years. She slept in our bed every nite with us and was way spoiled then any grand dog could be. Then just 2 months after we moved to Missouri from Florida she was diagnosed with a tumor connected to her spine. We ended up putting her to rest on June 30-2011 for her quality of life would of been nothing if we worthless had we of put her through one more surgery. She got to enjoy life for 30 days longer by having anything and everything that she desired.
The personality of this Miniature Schnauzer (GIGI) was amazing and I am in love with this breed for ever more. We just got her a little brother pure white named Dallas. I'm sure our love for him will be just as strong as it was for Gigi girl. R.I.P. our baby girl GiGI DRURY.
