My Max was my best buddy.

I had Max for almost 18 years. Got him in January 2005. Almost 18 great years! Had to put him to sleep a few days ago. It was one of the worst times of my life. I think about all the fun times we had together, playing, walking or just relaxing together. A big part of my life is now missing and it will take a long time to get over the loss of my best friend.

Pain is immense

Hi,
Your post brought tears, our mini’s have some similiar features. We put ours down yesterday, he was suffering at 14.5 and I’m still not sure we did the right thing. I am so sad, he was our first family pet and the only dog my children knew, they’re grown now. I knew when the day came, I would be sad, but this pain is gnawing at my gut, and I just can’t deal. My 26 year old son had to stay strong for his old mom, he met our dog Jaze when he was shy of 12. These dogs become our family. Anyway just wanted to express because I feel it helps me too, sorry for our loss.

Precious boy

So very sorry to hear of your sad loss, we lost our little Arnie 3 years ago and we still get emotional every time we think of him. They are a huge part of your life, your family and although they don’t ask for much they give you so much in return.
We hope that all of the wonderful, happy memories you made together will help you through your grief and knowing that he will always be there watching over you and your precious boy, like ours, will be forever in your heart.

You are not alone in your grief in the loss of your beloved Max,. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
I have not been able to get over the loss of my boy of nearly 15 years. It’s so difficult and I believe that they continue to stay close to us for as long as we need them. Watch for signs from them, a feather, the sounds of them coming down the hallway, a bark you know so well… Their love for us is limitless as is ours for them.
I know your pain and shed tears every day…It’s okay not to be okay, for you are not alone. 💙🐾🐾🌈💔😪
