In 2007, my brother and sister-in-law bought Max as a early Christmas present for me. At the time I didn't know anything about Miniature Schnauzers. But I quickly learned about their intelligence and personality.

Once Max was about ten weeks old he was housebroken, but one day he started to pee while he was walking around the house. (He didn't even seem to realize it) So I took Max to the vet. The vet told me that dogs wouldn't be able to control their bladder until at least three months and insisted that he just wasn't housebroken yet. I asked that the vet test his urine anyway and sure enough once the results came back it showed that Max had developed some crystals in his urine.

Max has always been a quick learner and very obedient. He has so much personality too. He loves to run outside and bark at squirrels, plays fetch until I make him stop (because he is so winded). He has brought so much joy into my life and I only hope that I can do the same for him.
