Under the covers and fuzzy!
Kileigh came to us in the year of 2006. She was a stray that was desperately looking for someone to take her in. When I first saw her, I automatically thought what an ugly dog she was. Her white/silver fur literally dropped to the floor. It was matted with spurs, ticks, and fleas. My mom brought her in the house to try and clean her up. We made the huge mistake of getting her wet, which made the spurs stick even closer to her skin. We tried pulling them out without hurting her, but it didn't work. I finally had to beg my dad to shave her down. It took over TWO hours just to do that. After that, we gave her a nice, warm bath. Her brown eyes were so dull, but she was full of life.
We posted flyers around are town, but we knew she was already ours, since someone didn't quite love her enough. No one came forward, and we bought just about everything she would ever want and need. After a while, her brown eyes finally lite up with joy and happiness. She was filled with so much love and greatness. She became our new little addition, and my four legged sister. I have no idea what I would ever do without her! She's my snuggle buddy at night, mommy's watch dog, and daddy's little girl! She is truly a gift and an angel from God. <3
