Bevo is an 11 year old salt/pepper Miniature Schnauzer who became a part of our family in 2010. I found him while visiting a dog rescue or rather he found me.
He walked over and began "prancing" around and was sure to stay by my side the entire time of my visit there. So needless to say, he came home with me that day.
His vet record state he's 9 years old, although we thought he was around three. He was in need of some dental work but other than that a healthy, laid back, and well-mannered boy.
Since I have to work, Bevo gets lonely sooo....
Enter Ellie Mae. She came into our home at 6 weeks and is now a year old. At first, Bevo didn't have much to do with her. It took them about 2 weeks to get used to each other, but once that bond was formed... they are literally inseparable.
Bevo loves to go for walks (he prances around other dogs), "talk" to me, snuggle with me on the couch, play with Ellie Mae, and ride with his head hanging out the window in the car. He does not like loud noises, children, the Wii remote, or my dancing (unless I'm holding him while dancing).
Ellie Mae loves to run "figure 8's" in the back yard, ride with her head out the window in the car, "walk" on her hind legs for treats, and stand at the window watching for squirrels and birds in the trees, or the neighborhood cat.
She is currently very mischievous and lets us know when she's unhappy about something by chewing up things she shouldn't. But, being barely a year old, I have confidence she will grow out of the puppy stage. She's full of energy and keeps Bevo "young" by getting him to play with her. She does not like cats, squirrels, or birds in our yard.
A few weeks ago, Bevo spent the night with his buddy "Rocky" out in the country at my Mom's place. That was a HUGE mistake. Not only did Ellie Mae roam the house whining ALL night long looking for Bevo, he was roaming mom's house whining looking for her. So we decided we wouldn't do that again.
The photo I have submitted is of the two of them playing in the back yard last summer. I call the photo "Tickle" because it looks like Ellie Mae is tickling Bevo and he's laughing.
I hope you all enjoy the photo as much as I do.
