Rudy the Nomad

When Rudy was adopted by his family, the Docter's, he had no idea just how much of a challenge his life would be and how much of the country he would see.

He began his life living a normal life with his parents and two sisters, but one day everything changed. Rudy began to have serious health problems. Each vet appointment was fraught with more bad news. It seemed like each time there were two possible outcomes and Rudy had the worst of the two. The end result of his medical issues was a liver shunt that required very invasive surgery and no guarantee of success.

Rudy's family loved him so much there was no question, the surgery would happen. Finally after months of bad news the Docter's got the news they needed to hear, Rudy's surgery was a success and he was completely healthy!

After four years of quiet his mom and dad decided to retire, buy an RV, and travel the country. What would happen to Rudy? He would travel along of course! His life is one exciting adventure after another today. Rudy's parents move every few days and they all get to explore the United States and Canada as well. And when Rudy is really lucky his sisters are able to visit too.

His mom and dad show no signs of stopping this nomadic lifestyle, which suits Rudy just fine. He has traveled to almost all of the continental states in the USA and can’t wait to visit Canada and Alaska next summer. He knows he is one lucky schnauzer!
