Charlie, my handsome boy, died on Thanksgiving Day 2011

Charlie, my handsome boy,
brought me happiness, life and joy.

He sang with me, his howl so true
he even could say "I Love You".

He loved to swim, he would take laps
and finish the day with a long, long nap.

He walked with me down to the pond,
he was my friend, a true loving bond.

Be snake, be squirrel, be bear in the wood
all beware for he feared not one.

Fourteen years, 4 months he lived,
so long too short. No please, not him.

I love you Charlie and always will
the love you gave will never dim.
