A Tribute to Miniature Schnauzer Tia

by John Sarkozy
(Abbotsford BC, Canada)

Miniature Schnauzer, Tia in her bed on a car ride

Miniature Schnauzer, Tia in her bed on a car ride

Tia was our special little girl for 9 years. My wife and I never had children so she was and always will be our child. Her favorite activities included eating, eating and more eating - she loved organic baby carrots (they were her favorite). Tia loved sleeping curled up in her bed and going for road trips. She was the best traveler we have ever known. She loved to go for all kinds of trips, long and short.

Tia loved the warm sun in the back yard and disliked the cold rain. She was a real snuggle bug who loved nothing more than to curl up in our lap and have a peaceful sleep. We took her everywhere and never left her alone or with anyone else, all our activities were planned with her in mind.

My wife and her were together everyday for all 9 years and the only time I was apart from her was when I went to work but I got a wonderful welcome every time I came home for lunch or at the end of the day.

Tia really was the best companion we ever had or will ever know and we look forward to the day when God calls us home and we will be able to hold Tia in our arms forever.

Tia
by: Lucygirlfriend

I also know your pain, my husband and I just lost our mini schnauzer Lucy 4 weeks ago to liver failure.....she was almost 13 but healthy and bouncy up until 2 months before, we also have no children and Lucy was our sweet girl, she was well behaved and loved to be on laps and with us where ever we went:) she also loved to ride on our 4-wheelers with us. It is so hard every day to know she isn't here with us anymore.......

I feel your loss too
by: Kory

Thank you for your comments on our little Leopold.
And I know how much it hurts, and the fact that your Tia had passed on two days before Leo tells me how much you meant, in your comment to me.
Thank you John.

I know the pain all too well. I know you did what was best for her. She runs free and happy now. It's those on earth that feel the pain. My condolences to your family.

Further info about Tia
by: John

Thanks for the nice words. She was sick with a kidney disease and seizures. She was healthy up until about 10 months ago when things changed. We just ran out of options and did not want her to suffer anymore. It was, by far, the hardest things we have ever had to do.

Sweet Schnauzer Tia
by: Sarah

What a beautiful story about your mini schnauzer Tia. I know you miss her terribly. You didn't mention how she passed over. Was she ill? or an accident? 9 years is just not enough time. Then again, there's never enough time. Just love them as much as you can while you have them. God bless you and your wife for providing Tia with such a loving home. I pray for you both to find peace.
