A Tribute to Miniature Schnauzer Lucky

Miniature Schnauzer,, My last picture of my sweet angel. 11/28/99-5/19/10

Lucky came into our lives in 2000. She fit right in with my other 2 older schnauzers. When I lost them she was right there by my side to comfort my tears. I was not prepared in 2006 to have Lucky diagnosed with a collapsed trachea. They wanted us to put her to sleep, but she was only 6 and so filled with life. I decided to have a stent inserted. There were complications because of the wrong size stent. She then got a stent that fit. When that one started to fall apart she had a stent inserted inside other stent to help keep it together. We were told she was expected to live another 7-9 months. With lots of love she lived a wonderful 4 more years with us.

On May 19, 2010 she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I hope you knew we were with you in the end. You were my little angel. I learned from you how to fight to live and to love. Your sweet little kisses were the highlights to my days. I hope you are happy now running and jumping and free from pain and suffering. I wanted to keep you longer but I had to tell myself that was for me and not the best for you. I hope you understand.

I know you are looking down on us. That you are watching your brother Romeo (who misses you terribly) your sisters Julia, Gretchen, and Blossom. We are sending you sweet kisses back to you. Until we meet again.

sorrow for you
by: Sarah

Lucky was well...lucky to have been with such an amazing and loving family. Schnauzers are quite special. I lost mine suddenly last month and I cry for her constantly. I know she is waiting for me at heavens gate and lucky is right next to her waiting for you. May God give you comfort in your grieving time.

Lucky
by: Valerie

I am so sorry about your sweetie schnauzer Lucky....I know how you are feeling these few short days after your loss, I lost my mini schnauzer Lucy on April 27th she was 13 and was our sweet girl, we didn't think we could ever stop crying but we did, so feel comforted that the pain will ease some and then the fond memories of Lucky will start to make you smile again.

Deepest sympathy...
by: KG

Barb & Family,
I know that losing Lucky was a terrible loss for you and I wanted to let you know how sorry I am. I know that Lucky wasn't just a pet; he was a big part of your life. I'm sure Lucky was there with you always attentive, loving, and ready to do whatever you wanted. Special dogs are rare but you were fortunate to find him, and Lucky was most fortunate to have you as their loving owner. My deepest sympathy.

I am so sorry.
by: Anna K

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel, I lost my Gus who was only 7 years old, in March 2010. He had been diagnosed with lymphoma 8 months previously. The pain doesn't go away but it dulls. You are such a wonderful mom to realize to have kept your angel was for your sake and not hers. She is free from pain and romping with my Gussie, waiting until we get there to join them. Bless you.
