A Tribute to Miniature Schnauzer Leopold

by Kory
(Saskatchewan, Canada)

Miniature Schnauzer, Leopold

Miniature Schnauzer, Leopold

I first met Leopold and his sister Natasha when I first met my friend Joanne in 2001. The little bundles of joy were born in February 1996. I never knew anything about miniature schnauzers before, but I sure learned fast. Especially when I realized I was being manipulated. I hated when I found out that a schnauzer is smarter than I am.

Leo and Natasha brought so much joy to us, and everyone they ever met. Sadly, Natasha passed away in the Fall of 2003. We thought Leo would die of a lonely heart. It took him over 9 months to return to his wonderful self.
I must mention that Natasha, when you looked in her eyes, had an old soul. And I miss her.

Leopold passed away 24 February 2010, just 10 days after his 14th birthday, from age and complications from diabetes.

I just can't say in words how very very much I miss both of them. I'm heartbroken, and my friend Joanne, well, I think you all know how she feels.

Thank you for having this page for all of us to express our grief.

I pray that when I/we pass on, that they are there to greet us.
