My good boy Toby

Toby and his then companion Napoleon were surrendered to a shelter by their owners who were moving and didn't take them with them (an inconceivable thing to me); a virus was raging in the shelter and a worker contacted Schnauzer Rescue of Pittsburgh,Pa. a rescue angel got him and fostered him for two (2) years; we found him on the rescue site and took him the first time we ever saw him;

we took him home and gave him all the love we had; Toby and i went for a walk (or two or three) everyday on a school near us 53 acres; he became a friend to all the grounds people who worked there;

after several veterinarian visits that revealed noting pathological, other than the veterinarians firm belief that he was dying;

on friday January 24th @10:45 PM EST he quietly passed away with the people who loved him best nearby;

"we'll go no more a roaming"

R.I.P Toby my good boy

thank you for your kind sentiments;
it is very lonely with toby gone,and tomorrow night at 10:45 pm will make two months since his passing;i miss him every day;maybe ,in time,another mini schnauzer will find us and again fill our hearts and home;

So Sorry For Your Loss

Just wanted to let you know how sad I was on the passing of Toby. I always think of you and how you were the first to send me comforting words when I lost Rachet. And I always think about you because I have my white Schnauzer and it makes me think about your good boy Casper that you always mention.

When I lost Rachet it was your kind words that helped me. Now I have 7 schnauzers (4 being rescues) and I wish I had some comforting words for you but you have been through this cycle before.

I hope that your heart heals as the days pass and again I could never thank you enough times for always caring and responding when someone loses their pet. You are one of a kind and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Even though I never met you or your pets - my heart is heavy for your loss and I hope Rachet and Casper were waiting for Toby.

I am so sorry for your loss, Toby found love with you. you gave him a good life. I am a firm believer in the Rainbow Bridge and I believe you will see him again one day. you are in my prayers. Hold on tight to all the wonderful memories of him. God Bless
