Our Sausage Face
by Richard Gray
This is Bailey Gray, he is our little sausage face, and for the past 16 months he has changed our lives, totally and completely for the better.
He spends all of his day with his dad, his Mummy still works as a children's nurse and so is very busy. Mummy face times him each day and tells him how much she loves and misses him.
He starts each day stretching on our bed, yawning then follows with a kiss and an extra cuddle from Mummy before she goes to work. Breakfast is his favourite raw feed, minced chicken, with apples, cauliflower and carrots, wolfed down in seconds. Then off to the park to meet his friends, lots of them. Here he runs wild and free, performing all kinds of acrobatics and stunts, his favourite is Taking flight at 60 mph.
Then it is home time and a very big snooze, usually 3 hrs with treats during wake times. Snoozes usually take place balanced on the settee headrest or precariously on a window ledge.
After wakey time he then finds something to chew into a million pieces, usually paper, documents, letters etc, he is a land piranha, surrounded by a confetti mess within moments.
Later it is back to the park, running about like a missile, barking, chasing and generally being very chaotic and wonderfully excited.
At the end of the day it is schnauzer schnuggle time with Mummy and Daddy, howls of excitement singing through the air, our little fur baby sings his heart out with love. A wonderful life he gives us, pure and complete, unconditional love and loyalty, Thank You Bailey, our little sausage face.
