Our Beloved Miss Sparkle (Sparkie) Oct 10, 2005 - Oct 6, 2016
(Kansas City, MO)
Sparkle (Sparkie), our beloved AKC registered Miniature Schnauzer, passed peacefully after a short but courageous battle with diabetes, blindness and acute pancreatitis. She was born October 10, 2005 in Lebanon, Missouri to Cassius Dot and Kerran Nick at the Michael Oberbeck Miniature Schnauzer Kennels.
Miss Sparkle lived her first year in Paramus, New Jersey in the Arcola Methodist Parsonage where she devoted many hours to Arcola’s young Methodist Sunday School attendees. She then accompanied her adopted parents to Kansas City, Missouri where she spent her remaining years. Sparkle was an alumnus of the Kansas City Obedience and Training Academy where she excelled and learned many commands except “off”. Known for her politeness and congenial outgoing personality, Sparkie never met a stranger. She loved to travel with her parents and enjoyed family, friends and neighbors. She was also the best window surfer in the world.
Surviving Sparkie are her adopted parents, Jim and Wauneta, her best friends Sarah and David, Larry the UPS driver, Chris, her babbysitter, Miles, the five year old next door, Dr Robert Johnson and his staff at the North Kansas City Animal Hospital and Dr Keil and her staff at Keil Veterinary Ophthalmology. She will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched. She was a most wonderful and compassionate friend, a great companion, the best watch dog and nurse anyone could ever hope for.
We will forever miss you, Sparkle and we will forever love you.
