Miniature Schnauzer Max Elliot

by A K Elliot
(Benkelman, NE, USA)

Max begging for treats

Max begging for treats

Mr. Max will soon be 4 years old in September. He came to us as a rescue when he was 3 months old--me, my husband and our 4 year old black Miniature Schnauzer, Gus. He was a poor little guy all dirty and stinky and had been living in a barn with his parents and 2 Australian Shepherds and being fed cat food. He is so loving and cuddly and fit right into our family.

At first Gus didn't want to have anything to do with him then they became fast buds and ripped and ran and played together and were everywhere together. On August 6, 2007 we lost my husband and I don't know what I would have done without the 2 boys. Then on March 31, 2010 we lost Gus to lymphoma cancer so now it is just Max and me and I thank God for the wonderful blessing of this sweet little guy.

Thank You!
by: Anna and Max

Thank you all for your kind comments. It has been a bit over 6 months since Gus went to be with Jim and we are still floundering a bit trying to get into a routine. I accidently said 'c'm on Gus' the other day and Max stopped and turned around looking for Gus and sure made me tear up right quick. We are adjusting but it seems very slow.

Adorable.
by: The Sassy 7 Pack

Max is one adorable little guy. Looks just like one of mine. I too lost my husband last year, and I don't know what I would have done if it was not for my 7 Schnauzers that I love dearly. They always have a way of making me smile.
