Jocks- companion to all

I got Jock in 2003. At the time I thought he was an adult dog. He turned out to be a 6 month old super cute, friendly, snuggle-bug, and great escape artist. He wandered into my heart the day I met him and there he stayed for 13 years. He helped me through the death of my grandma, celebrated with my in my marriage and birth of our son, and took many walks with me at the end of each day. We would play and he could make me feel better as he put his head on my lap. As crazy as it sounds, he saved my life- more than once!

September 19, 2016 I had to make the hardest, gut wrenching decision of my life. It was time to let go. Jock's health had deteriorated over the years and it was clear that he was uncomfortable.

We took once last walk together before going to the vet..... He ate cookies and treats galore and leaned into me for a while. What a joy it was to get to know this little guy for 13 years. What a privilege to care for him through all life's transitions.

Jocko, we miss you boy! We love you!! Run free!

What a sweet face. Such a handsome boy. I'm glad you had many years with your buddy. Know how you feel. Lost Joey boy last year after having to make the same decision you did. They are wonderful little family members and it hurts so to have to say goodbye. Take care, will keep you in thoughts and prayers.

They do such a good job of loving us, becoming a part of our life, and family member that it is hard to say good bye. Sounds like you will have many fond memories.
