Coco our sweet girl

Sweet Mini Schnauzer Coco

We were looking for a dog that didn't shed, so my cousin told me about miniature schnauzers and how loving they are. I always love shelter dogs because it is giving them a second chance and they are so loving and grateful. So I had my wife call the Humane Society to see if there were any miniature schnauzers there, and the lady said that there was one female named Coco that had been seized from a puppy mill. We immediately went to go meet her.

When we saw her, her hair was long ( once we adopted her we immediately took her and got her groomed with a cute schnauzer hair cut) and she was very shy and scared! But we fell in love with her from the start.

Once we brought her home, she was very scared and did not bark for the first couple of months. She wouldn't take treats and would not eat her food in front of anyone. she would just run to her crate and stay there all day. But she went outside to do her business and did not go inside to do it ever ( she still has yet to ever go inside and we have had her 10 months.)

Slowly but surely she is warming up and now will jump in the bed with us and sleep with us, but is still funny about eating (only eats in her crate and will only take treats if they are placed in her crate as well.) But she is very loving and protective over my kids. We love Coco so much.

She just recently got get teeth cleaned because they were so bad with tarter due to the puppy mill but now they are nice, shiny, and clean. She is our sweet little girl. And we thank God for placing her in our life. She has really begun to become a part of the family and she is loved so much by everyone!!!
