A Tribute to Miniature Schnauzer Lucy

Miniature Schnauzer Lucy

Miniature Schnauzer Lucy

We got Lucy when she was 8 weeks old in October of 1998, from the very beginning she was our "sweet girl" she was happiest just being with my husband and I no matter what we were doing. She loved riding 4-wheelers with us and everytime we got them out of the garage she would get so excited knowing we were going on a little trip. She thought that it was her right to be on our laps if we were sitting down and of course we let her!
She was the most obedient loving little schnauzer....
In April of this year she went into liver failure and our vet tried everything possible to get our Lucy better, but it was not to be, so my husband and I had to make one of the hardest decisions of our life so as to not let her hurt any longer, we miss you so much Lucy you will never be forgotten "sweet girl". Oct. 1998 - April 2010

My Lucy
by: Anonymous

Sorry to hear about your Lucy. I put mine down 2 months ago and I still cry everyday. Never knew what would happen when she left. She was such a great friend. Always happy. Glad to see me no matter what. A friend commented "leave your spouse and dog in a trunk for an hour, who is happy to see you when you open the trunk."
That explains it all. I miss her so. I am sorry that you had to have a similar experience, but I am glad that you had the years together. they had to be great for you to post this. my tribute is at artbykennedy.com

Sorry
by: Jason

Just wanted to write a few lines, as we will most likely be making a similar decision soon. Our oldest of three Schnauzers, Chewy, has bone cancer that has now moved into both lungs. We are still trying cemo, starting a new drug this next week. We know the hurt. We lost my Police K9, Bullet, 2 years ago this month.

Thank you
by: Lucy's Mom

I just wanted to thank all of you for your kind thoughts about our Lucy, it has been 10 weeks now and the ache in our hearts have eased some. We have been in touch with a wonderful top quality miniature schnauzer breeder not to far away from us that may be able to provide us in the next few months with a new little schnauzer girl, we are keeping our fingers crossed that everything works out for us! :) :)

Rainbow Bridge...
by: KG~Ebenezer's "mom"

Just a reminder, with our condolences...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

So sorry
by: Anna K

Your Lucy was a cutie, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my 7 year old Gus in March and the pain is horrendous. You were blessed by God to have your Lucy as long as you did.
