A Tribute to Crystal

by Sabrina

Crystal

Crystal

My beautiful Crystal came to me in 2008 as a foster after being a breeder dog all of her life. She had a particular look about her (Maltese body and marked underbite like a Shih Tzu). She had been with me for several months and no one was interested in adopting her. During those months, I had become very attached to her and decided to adopt her myself. She was my baby girl and I loved her dearly.

Crystal became ill at the end of 2009, experiencing seizures and losing weight rapidly. She was getting aggressive with the other dogs and would sleep most of the day, waking up only to eat. One day, she had a grand mal seizure and was completely disoriented. I could tell that she was suffering at this point. I took her to see our vet and, after learning that the medication she was taking was no longer helping her and that there was basically nothing else that would, I decided to say my goodbyes. My baby girl went to sleep in my arms on February 5, 2010.

Crystal was a happy and affectionate girl with a big, goofy smile and I miss her dearly. I am grateful to have had her in my life and will forever love her.

Regarding to the loss of your beloved pet
by: Tanya

I just wanted to send my condolences to you in the loss of your best gal. I lost my last dog due to seizures also, and he also died in my arms. Everything happened so quickly. He seized very bad ... probably a grand mal and was unresponsive real fast. I didn't take him to the Vet because he was out of it. I knew it was serious, and that probably nothing could be done to save him. I was thinking he was going through renal failure but I'll never know. He expired shortly after he began the seizures.
I very much identify with what you must be going through. I just wanted to say that my thoughts are with you. I hope that you will be able to heal and in time, give another beautiful deserving dog a chance.
Many Blessings to you.

So sorry for your loss.
by: The Sassy 7 Pack

I was so sorry to read of the loss of your Crystal. She was such a pretty girl. I hope some day you will find room in your heart for another pup that needs a forever home. Aren't they the best. I have 3 fosters that I've adopted.

No Greater Pain . . .
by: KG~Ebenezer's "mom"

There is no greater pain than the loss of a beloved pet
~ a best friend ~ a family member.

For they may be gone ~ but never forgotten.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
